In order to reach its goal, TDA intends to engage in the following types of activities:
• involving young people in practical events meant to help them better understand and recreate Antique daily activities through experimental archaeology;
• facilitating the direct involvement of the public in the activities organized by the association, for educational and entertaining purposes;
• recreating aspects of military, civilian, and religious life typical to the Dacian and Roman civilizations, starting from the results of scholarly research;
• organizing activities related to specific aspects of military Dacian and Roman life, such as training, military maneuvers and strategy, and entertaining;
• recreating aspects of civilian life (shops, workshops, etc.) and religious life (rites, rituals, ceremonies, festivals);
• recreating elements of dress typical for the Dacian and Roman eras, as well as weapons and pieces of military equipment used in those times;
• creating and organizing a permanent experimental base camp;
• creating logistics necessary to the fulfillment of its goals;
• promoting and supporting the preservation of Dacian and Roman archaeological sites;
• editing a website;
• initiating the compilation of a virtual library containing specific reference material, a database for study and research, and other information resources of the kind;
• creating and distributing periodic information notes, articles, and other media material through which it promotes the activity of the association, including presentations of the national and international developments in the field of historical reenactment. To this end it uses all means specific to PR and advertising;
• promoting its objectives during presentations, seminars, workshop, forums, and other instructive activities;
• organizing and taking part in symposiums, conferences, colloquia and other meetings of the sort, both national and international, with the goal of reaching its objectives;
• identifying and attracting funding for its activities;
• organizing meetings for its members with businessmen and public persons in the attempt to obtain logistic and/or financial support for meeting the association’s objectives;
• contacting international similar organizations and cooperating with them through exchange of information and possible collaborations;
• militating for attracting various personalities and specialists through private contacts;
• collaborating with public or private institutions and similar NGOs throughout the world;
• collaborating with private and juridical persons, institutions and governmental or non-governmental organizations in Romania and abroad in order to promote the objectives and goals of the association;
• supporting the elaboration of studies, articles and books focusing on Dacian and Roman antiquity;
• granting prizes, honorary diplomas and other distinctions for special merits in the field;;
• supporting original research in the field of Antique archaeology and history (books, articles, computer programs, design, internet publications, etc.)
